Erin Zarka
Who am I?
Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and from a family of Lebanese origin, I grew up in a multicultural environment that allowed me to develop an open and sensitive view of the world. This cultural diversity nourished my perspective, my relationship to spaces, and my way of perceiving atmospheres, materials, and uses from a very early age.
My childhood was punctuated by numerous trips around the world, which allowed me to discover different cultures and ways of life. These experiences were extended by intensive English courses, particularly in Canada, which enabled me to become bilingual and further broadened my horizons, teaching me to adapt to diverse environments and to consider projects from multiple perspectives.
In 2020, I moved to Paris and began my higher education in global design. I joined a preparatory year in applied arts, which allowed me to acquire the fundamental basics of drawing and color.
I then pursued a comprehensive design degree, a five-year program that allowed me to acquire a triple skill set: visual communication, interior architecture, and product design. This 360° training enabled me to explore each project in depth, integrating different scales and dimensions, from the conceptual idea to its materialization, while developing a cross-disciplinary perspective on spaces and objects.
During my studies, I had the opportunity to complete internships in Paris, Thonon-les-Bains and Geneva, which allowed me to discover different work environments and learn new methods of project design and organization.
